Our people, our customers, and the communities in which we operate are at the heart of what we do. About the Role
The Business Analyst will take ownership of the Sales workstream within a major Epicor ERP implementation across our complex multi-site business. This is a delivery focused role within an established transformation programme. The core business requirements for the Sales workstream are largely defined, and you will be responsible for driving them through the next stages of the project, ensuring they are understood, appropriately detailed, successfully delivered, and validated against the needs of the business. Duties will include:
- Working closely with Sales stakeholders, the wider ERP team, technical teams and external delivery partners, you will manage the workstream from requirement through to implementation. This will include resolving gaps and ambiguities, supporting solution decisions, coordinating delivery, validating released functionality and ensuring the business is ready to adopt the new processes and system.
- Although the programme has an established requirements base, this is not simply a documentation or testing role. You will be expected to understand the Sales processes in depth, identify where further analysis or decisions are required, challenge where appropriate and take ownership of progressing the workstream through to a successful outcome.
- Take ownership of the Sales workstream within the ERP programme, driving agreed requirements through delivery, testing, business acceptance and implementation readiness.
- Maintain a clear understanding of the agreed Sales requirements and ensure they are progressed through the appropriate internal or external delivery route.
- Work closely with Sales stakeholders, the wider ERP team, technical teams and external delivery partners to resolve questions, decisions and issues as they arise during delivery.
- Provide timely clarification to delivery teams and support the resolution of functional questions, gaps and dependencies identified during development.
- Develop and maintain test scenarios and test cases, coordinating and carrying out functional testing of delivered solutions.
- Prepare and coordinate Proof of Concept testing, ensuring appropriate scenarios are in place to validate proposed solutions against agreed business requirements and provide clear evidence to support progression.
- Lead walkthroughs and demonstrations of delivered functionality with Sales stakeholders, capturing feedback and agreeing any required actions.
- Prepare the Sales workstream for User Acceptance Testing, including defining test coverage, preparing test scripts and scenarios, identifying appropriate business testers and ensuring prerequisites are in place.
The role operates on a hybrid basis with an expectation of typically one - two days per week in our Bradford office. Additional office attendance and travel to other UK sites will be required at key stages of the programme, particularly as the ERP rollout progresses. During rollout periods, travel requirements are likely to increase significantly to support site readiness, stakeholder engagement, testing and implementation activities.
