Full Stack Developer (Python + Next.js)
We’re looking for a Full Stack Developer to join a fast-growing team building cutting-edge technology used by scientists to accelerate drug discovery. This role sits at the intersection of software engineering, data, and life sciences, helping create platforms that enable researchers to run large-scale virtual experiments and analyse complex biological data.
You’ll work across the stack to design and build high-performance web applications, APIs, and data pipelines that power data-intensive scientific workflows. The ideal candidate enjoys taking ownership of features end-to-end and thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced startup environment.
What you’ll do
- Build and maintain scalable backend services using Python and FastAPI
- Develop modern, responsive user interfaces using React and Next.js
- Design and integrate APIs that power data-driven scientific applications
- Work with large biological datasets and build efficient data pipelines
- Collaborate closely with engineers, researchers, and product teams to deliver new features
- Help shape architecture and best practices as the platform evolves
What we’re looking for
- Around 2+ years of experience in full stack development
- Strong experience with Python backend development
- Experience with React and/or Next.js
- Familiarity with REST APIs, modern web architecture, and cloud environments
- Comfortable working in a startup or fast-moving environment
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to take ownership of projects
Nice to have
- Experience with FastAPI
- Exposure to data engineering or data pipelines
- Experience working with scientific or data-heavy applications
- Interest in biotech, healthcare, or scientific software
