ICT-EPR System Lead Developer
Job summary
The Trust has embarked on an ambitious adoption to maximise digitation of patient records, across all its departments and services. We have invested in the Oracle Millennium EPR system since 2008 and now have a single mature and established EPR system across all 5 of our hospital sites within our Trust.
As a lead developer within the Trusts' EPR Development team, you are responsible for leading, developing, enhancing and supporting the Oracle Millennium System based on requirements gathered from key stakeholders. This includes working on the more complex change requests that the team receives.
This role is a highly advanced technical role requiring direct hands-on modification to the live EPR operating environment, database and configuration.
You will be responsible for the production, development, and promotion of a range of EPR development services for various software modules & solutions deployed at the Trust. This extends to responsibility for implementing bug fixes and changes that are requested by the Clinical Systems Technical Support Team along with strict adherence to Change management and configuration management processes.
You will have line management responsibility of direct reports including HR management duties, work planning, mentoring as well as developing talent within the team.
Main duties of the job

Responsible for the production, development, and promotion of a range of EPR development services for various software modules & solutions deployed at the Trust
Responsible for implementing bug fixes and changes that are requested by the Clinical Systems Technical Support Team along with strict adherence to Change management and configuration management processes.
Responsible for configuring the system performing administrative functions when requested by other Clinical Systems Support Teams.
Responsible for line management of direct reports including HR management duties, work planning, mentoring as well as developing talent within the team.
Provides expert advice and guidance on EPR system development matters.
Overall, required to provide expert knowledge in the mechanics of the Millennium system such that the system can be modified to support the requirements of the business.
Ensuring Trust compliance with required Change and Release management procedures.

Experience
- Effective communication and influencing skills

- Minimum of two years working in a Service Management environment
- Significant Problem management experience relating to software systems,

Qualifications
- Educated to A level Standard
- A relevant first-degree, or equivalent qualification.
- ITIL green badge equivalent in service management
- PRINCE2 foundation equivalent in project management
- Management Diploma or equivalent
