Senior Mobile Developer – Glasgow Head OfficeLocation: Glasgow / Hybrid Salary: £60,000 - £66,000
Are you an experienced mobile developer with a passion for building robust, enterprise-grade apps? We’re looking for a Senior Mobile Developer to take ownership of native iOS applications and lead their strategic migration to React Native.
This is a hands-on role where you’ll combine deep iOS expertise with modern cross-platform development, ensuring offline-first reliability, secure data handling, and high performance.
What You’ll Do- Stabilize and maintain existing native iOS apps: fix crashes, improve performance, and ship updates.
- Lead an incremental migration to React Native, introducing new modules and native bridges.
- Manage SQLite-based offline data and sync with backend APIs.
- Implement secure storage using Keychain and modular CocoaPods.
- Collaborate with our C#/.NET backend team and support internal users.
- Oversee CI/CD pipelines via Azure DevOps and internal MDM distribution.
- Work in Agile and Waterfall models, contributing to story refinement, estimation, development, testing, and implementation.
- 5+ years in mobile development with proven iOS expertise.
- Strong experience with Objective-C, Swift, SwiftUI, UIKit, Combine, SQLite, Keychain.
- Understanding of architectural patterns: MVC, MVVM, Coordinator.
- Experience with dependency injection and modularisation.
- Proficient in React Native with TypeScript, React Navigation, Expo.
- Familiarity with Redux/Zustand, native modules, offline sync.
- Testing experience with Jest and Detox.
- Skilled in Azure DevOps CI/CD, Fastlane, or EAS Build.
- Familiarity with C#/.NET APIs and SQL.
- Performance tuning and debugging using Flipper and Instruments.
