2nd Line IT Technician

2nd Line Technician- Cambridge - GBP £30,000

Our client is a renowned IT Company and they are seeking an experienced 2nd Line Technician to join their technical team to provide External Support. If you enjoy getting hands-on, assisting with IT Projects and delivering a high level on Support, this role might be perfect for you!

You'll be part of a dynamic IT team that provides 1st/2nd/3rd line technical support across all the UK sites. With the opportunity to work on Divisional and Corporate IT projects, you'll play a key role in the technical development of the company.

Occasional travel will be required to local sites - Must have own licence and Vehicle.

Responsibilities

  • Provide 2nd Line support for external users both F2F and remotely
  • Maintaining the Networking & Infrastructure for sites around Cambridge
  • Provide technical assistance with IT Projects and Migrations
  • Create and maintain all the IT documentation and procedures
  • Implementation and testing of new hardware & software

Requirements

  • Previous experience within a similar role and working within a Microsoft background
  • Good Knowledge/Experience within VMware environment
  • Experience with Windows Operating Systems 8/10
  • Windows server experience 2012+
  • Basic Networking - DNS/DHCP/TCP/IP
  • Good experience with Office 365 products
  • Basic Azure/Cloud application
  • Azure active directory, GPO's, DNS / DHCP and experience of Cloud technology
  • Firewalls and networking concepts
  • Backup solutions - Veeam
