Legal Counsel

We’re assisting a household name with the hire of a mid-to-senior in-house Legal Counsel. This is a broad commercial tech role supporting a high-performing sales organisation and key operational teams across the UK and EMEA. Hybrid working is centred around a Berkshire office.

Work includes:

• Leading negotiations on commercial agreements: SaaS/software licensing, professional services, implementation/support, strategic partners and channel models.
• Advising on contract risk, deal structure, and escalations with a pragmatic, business-aligned approach.
• Supporting privacy, IP, and technology regulatory matters (including emerging areas affecting digital/AI products).
• Improving legal delivery through smarter templates, internal guidance, and scalable processes.
• Providing training and day-to-day support to stakeholders in a fast-moving environment.

About you:

• Qualified lawyer with 5+ years PQE, ideally from a strong firm or comparable in-house function.
• Demonstrable experience supporting software/technology businesses.
• Commercial judgement, confident stakeholder management, and an ability to simplify complex risk.
• Comfortable prioritising in a growth setting; proactive and practical.
• Additional languages are helpful but not required.
• Some travel across the region is expected.
