Bench IT require a Senior Power Platform Engineer to help build out automations that support our day-to-day operations. This is a hands-on delivery role covering new automation builds, troubleshooting existing solutions, and supporting our ongoing migration from Blue Prism to Power Platform . The successful candidate will work closely with the wider automation team to understand operational requirements, design practical automation solutions, and keep existing processes running smoothly while we transition Legacy RPA workflows onto the Power Platform.

Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and deploy automations using Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps, Power BI as relevant) to support operational requirements
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues in existing automations, identifying root causes and implementing robust fixes
- Support and contribute to the migration of automations from Blue Prism (RPA) to Power Platform, including re-architecting existing process logic for the new platform
- Apply prompt engineering techniques to build and refine AI-assisted automation and agent workflows
- Work with Copilot Studio to design and build conversational/agentic automation solutions
- Integrate and build workflows using N8N where appropriate alongside Power Platform tooling
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to Regular-level developers on the team, reviewing work and sharing best practices
- Collaborate with stakeholders to translate operational requirements into scalable, maintainable automation solutions
- Contribute to technical decision-making around automation architecture and platform standards as the team scales up Power Platform adoption
Required Experience
- Strong, demonstrable hands-on experience with Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps, and associated tooling) in a professional delivery environment
- Practical experience with prompt engineering for AI-driven automation or agent workflows
- Experience with Copilot Studio for building automation/agent solutions
- Experience with N8N for workflow automation and integration
- Prior experience with Blue Prism (or other RPA platforms), ideally including migration or re-platforming work, is highly advantageous
- Senior-level experience: able to work independently, troubleshoot complex issues, and provide guidance to less experienced developers
- Strong communication skills, comfortable working within UK business hours across a distributed remote team
