On behalf of our client, a UK-based AI and video intelligence SaaS platform transforming frontline operations in utilities and field-based industries, we are seeking an Account Director focused on Utilities, specifically the Water Sector.

About the Role

This is a customer-facing role within a fast-growing UK-based SaaS company serving utilities and other deskless, field-based workforces (energy, water, gas, telecoms).

The Account Director will own a portfolio of strategic utilities customers, carrying a revenue quota across renewals and expansion, while acting as a trusted commercial partner to multiple stakeholders across operational, technical, and transformation teams.

The role combines account strategy and hands-on commercial execution, working closely with Product, Customer Success, and sector leadership to drive adoption, demonstrate measurable operational impact, and unlock long-term growth opportunities across complex, regulated enterprise environments.

What You'll Do

  • Own and deliver a revenue quota, increasing ARR through timely renewals and strategic upsell opportunities across your utilities portfolio
  • Travel across the UK to work on-site with utilities customers to close existing opportunities and identify additional revenue opportunities
  • Own renewals of existing platform deployments and engage closely with Customer Success to ensure full utilisation, expanding adoption across workflows, field teams, and operational use cases
  • Engage into new business units within existing utility customers through referrals and internal relationship development
  • Grow the ecosystem within each customer, nurturing champions across Operations, Field Services, IT, and Transformation teams
  • Manage and lead Business Unit QBRs, demonstrating measurable business value, aligning on operational goals, and identifying future expansion opportunities
  • Work alongside the Sector VP (strategic direction), Product Services Lead (solution design), and Customer Success (usage optimisation)
  • Attend site visits, testing days, and relevant utilities industry events
  • Drive customer advocacy within the utilities sector, securing references, testimonials, and customer stories in partnership with Marketing

Who You Are

  • Proven experience in B2B SaaS account management, customer success, or a similar revenue-linked role, ideally within utilities, energy, gas, water, or telecom field operations
  • Strong track record of renewals, upsells, and expansion within complex enterprise accounts
  • Experience working with field agents, engineers, contractors, or operational frontline teams
  • Structured, strategic approach to account planning (Gold/Blue Sheets, MEDDIC, or similar frameworks)
  • Exceptional relationship-building skills, with the ability to earn trust and influence stakeholders in regulated environments
  • Commercially confident, able to own a quota, forecast accurately, and prioritise based on impact
  • Proactive and curious, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Marketing, and Engineering
  • High integrity and customer-first mindset, aligned with the values of Simplicity, Velocity, Mutuality, and Trust
