We are looking to recruit an experienced Information Analyst to join the Informatics team to support theContract Analysis team. This is an exciting opportunity to work with Berkshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. To be responsible for the receipt, processing and submission of mental health and community data to Commissioners on behalf of the Trust. This involves monitoring the timeliness and quality of data against national and local standards, processing this data in the Trust data warehouse and other corporate databases as appropriate, producing standard reports to deadlines and monitoring. Responding to ad-hoc queries and working closely with Trust colleagues to improve data quality and timeliness. To deliver a timely, validated reporting suite that satisfies the Trusts statutory and mandatory reporting responsibility. To investigate and develop new reports to support data submissions and routine information reporting.
Main duties of the job

To support the Contract team in providing comprehensive information analysis across the corporate and locality structures.

To be responsible for supporting the delivery of accurate, timely and fit for purpose information reporting / analysis to meet the business need, using a variety of available tools.

Undertake analysis of complex, multi-sourced patient level data, transforming it into meaningful reports and to support staff in understanding the results, as well as provide assurance around the quality and integrity of the source data. To summarize and interpret results as required with written analysis identifying trends, variations with explanation.

Build professional relationships with Locality Directors, Service Managers and staff within the business units, supporting them with their information requirements to design, develop and build reports that meet the specified operational needs that are able to be developed as required into the business intelligence tool. To support these staff to access and understand this information.
- To document and maintain a series of reports; statutory, mandatory, local and national to ensure they are compliant with requirements and run according to schedule. To validate and highlight any issues for resolution.

- Minimum of 3 years experience in the use of MS Office applications, with excellent Excel or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 2 years experience in information reporting
- Use own initiative to work in a project manner with services to understand requirements, translate into analysis and iterate as needed
- Experience of exercising judgement to solve operational problems where the answers are not apparent.

Person Specification
Education/Qualifications/Training
- Educated to a degree or having equivalent experience
- Having relevant Information Management Qualification or equivalent experience
Previous Experience
- Experience in NHS mental health or community health organisations
- Track record of working with colleagues across all disciplines and at every level within the organisation, demonstrating an ability to implement improvements
- Information Management experience
- A working knowledge of NHS Data Sets
- Experience of exercising judgement to solve operational problems where the answers are not apparent
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in the use of MS Office applications, with excellent Excel or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in information reporting
- Minimum of 2 years' experience of routinely writing/using SQL queries (or equivalent) for analysis
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Use own initiative to work in a project manner with services to understand requirements, translate into analysis and iterate as needed
- Ability to show and work on own initiative
- Ability to work to deadlines and act under pressure
- Experience of BI tool for 2 years (preferably Tableau)
Additional Requirements
- Highly Effective Presentation and Report writing skills. Good keyboard skills
- Interpersonal skills, self-motivated team player
- Ability to travel to multiple sites
