Non Functional Tester
Non-Functional Tester
We’re supporting a leading global financial services organisation as they expand their Digital Security capability and invest in large-scale technology transformation.
They’re looking for a Non-Functional Tester who can go beyond execution — someone who can shape, define, and drive non-functional testing strategy across complex, distributed systems.
The Role
This position sits at the intersection of engineering, infrastructure, and security. You’ll work closely with Product Owners, architects, and technical teams to define and deliver non-functional requirements across a modern technology landscape.
Key focus areas include:
- Performance, scalability, and resilience
- Disaster recovery and failover
- Monitoring, alerting, and system reliability
- Security and infrastructure alignment
You’ll take ownership of the non-functional testing strategy — from defining requirements through to execution, analysis, and reporting.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Define and drive non-functional test strategy across multiple domains
- Translate business and technical requirements into clear, testable NFRs
- Design and execute testing cycles, identifying bottlenecks and root causes
- Collaborate across product, development, and infrastructure teams
- Communicate results and insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
What They’re Looking For
- Strong experience in non-functional testing within complex environments
- Solid understanding of performance, scalability, resilience, and DR testing
- Experience working in cloud-based and distributed systems (OpenShift exposure is highly valued)
- Familiarity with tools such as LoadRunner, Selenium, Splunk, Xray or similar
- Experience working in Agile/DevOps environments with CI/CD pipelines
- Ability to translate technical findings into clear business insights
Why This Role
- High-impact position influencing system reliability at scale
- Exposure to modern architecture (Java, Kafka, APIs, cloud)
- Collaborative, cross-functional environment
- Opportunity to shape testing strategy, not just execute it
