Senior Python Developer (United Kingdom)

We are looking for a Senior Python Developer to join our client on an initial 6 month contract.

They have recently developed a new Platform for their industry that has gained interest and investment. The successful candidate will work alongside the Head of Engineering to help build the new system.

The Senior Developer will need to have significant Python experience, specifically API-first development, using FastAPI and experience of refactoring and building complex systems.

Their product makes considerable use of LLMs, so experience in this area is needed.

You will work within a small team and ideally be able to take ownership of parts of the system, while still having a can-do attitude to picking up whatever is required.

They are working with Knowledge Graphs so experience with this would be highly desirable but not essential.

Skills & experience needed;

• Extensive Python experience, specifically API-first development, using FastAPI
• LLM’s
• Knowledge Graphs / RDF / OWL a bonus but not a requirement
• Ability to refactor existing applications to improve scalability and feature set
• Any experience of the following would be desirable, NextJS, MongoDB, Redis, Currently hosted on Azure (in Container Apps)
• Financial Services exp is highly desirable

The role is outside of IR35 and can be fully remote but UK based. There is an office in London that is available if the candidate wishes to be onsite.
