Role Summary
The Project Manager, reporting directly to the Director of PMO, works with clients and all
teams to keep technical projects on track, updated, and well understood by all team
members. As an Intermediate Infrastructure Project Manager specializing in data
protection, data center management, and managed cloud solutions, you will lead critical
projects aimed at optimizing infrastructure, safeguarding data integrity, and enhancing
operational efficiency across various sectors, including healthcare, enterprise, and the
public sector. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to plan, execute,
and deliver infrastructure initiatives aligned with organisational objectives and industry
best practices.
Role Responsibilities:
Strategic Planning and Execution:
- Develop and implement strategic plans for infrastructure projects related to data protection, data centre optimisation and managed cloud solutions.
- Lead project teams in the execution of project deliverables, ensuring alignment with project goals and objectives.
Infrastructure Deployment and Integration:
- Oversee the deployment, configuration, and optimisation of infrastructure systems, including data protection technologies (e.g., encryption, backup, disaster recovery), data centre infrastructure (e.g., servers, storage, networking), and managed cloud solutions.
- Coordinate with internal teams, external vendors, and service providers to ensure seamless implementation and interoperability of infrastructure components.
Risk Management and Compliance:
- Identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with infrastructure projects, including cybersecurity threats, regulatory compliance issues, and operational disruptions.
- Ensure adherence to industry regulations and standards, industry-specific compliance requirements.
Role Requirements
• 5-10 years’ work experience in Project Coordination or Project Management in the
technology field
• CAPM, PMP certification is an asset.
• Strong knowledge regarding IT Infrastructure
• Previous experience on Storage and Backup Solutions required.
• Project Management course experience
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project effectively.
• Experience with NetSuite and SharePoint is considered an asset.
• Ability to write and edit clear and concise reports, meeting minutes, status documents,
update documents, and statements of work.
• Ability to organise then track tasks and projects to completion.
• Superior organisational and data entry skills and the ability to manage numerous
complex projects in parallel.
• Experience with EMC, Cisco or VMware products would be considered an asset.
