Bid Writer (Manchester)

We are working with a Leading IT support and managed services provider in their hire for a Bid Writer. This role can be based anywhere in the UK and will require occasional travel to their offices in Manchester and Surrey. This role is looking to pay up to £35,000.

About the Role:

As the Bid Writer , you will play a crucial role in securing business contracts and tenders by writing clear, tailored, and persuasive proposals. Working closely with sales, project teams, and subject matter experts, you will ensure that every bid reflects our strengths and aligns with client needs.

What they are looking for:

The ideal candidate should have a solid foundation in IT and software, with a preference for those experienced in software within the education sector. IT and software sector experience are essential. You must have at least one years of experience in a bid writing role, with a proven ability to craft persuasive, high-quality proposals. The successful candidate will be strategic in their approach, capable of aligning bid responses with client needs while ensuring compliance with tender requirements. Strong attention to detail is crucial, as is the ability to manage multiple deadlines effectively. A methodical approach to writing and editing, coupled with a proactive and adaptable attitude, will be key in delivering winning proposals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Craft high-quality, engaging bids that win contracts.
  • Conduct market research to understand prospective clients and tailor proposals effectively.
  • Ensure compliance with client specifications, deadlines, and industry best practices.
  • Edit and refine proposals for clarity, accuracy, and impact.
  • Collaborate with designers to produce visually compelling bid documents.

Skills & Expertise:

  • Strong writing and editing skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Exceptional research and analytical abilities to craft targeted solutions.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and bid submission platforms.
  • Previous experience in bid writing, business development, or a similar role (desirable).
  • APMP certification and knowledge of the education sector (a plus).
