DevOps Engineer

Want to support software that truly matters? This software helps emergency services respond faster, make better decisions and protects communities across the UK.

If you're a DevOps Engineer who wants your work to have genuine purpose, this is an opportunity to build the cloud platforms that underpin mission-critical technology used by organisations people rely on when it matters most.

We're partnering with an established UK technology business that is investing in the future. As they modernise their engineering function, you'll help build secure, resilient cloud infrastructure that supports life-changing software, while introducing modern DevOps practices, automation and AI-assisted engineering.
This is more than keeping the lights on.

You'll influence how engineering is done, help shape technical direction and play a key role in delivering technology that has a real impact on people's lives.

Full SC Clearance required.
Up to £65,000 + Benefits
Hybrid – Leicestershire (Tuesday & Wednesday onsite)
Due to the location, you must have a full UK driving license.

What you'll be doing
  • Designing, building and evolving secure AWS cloud platforms using Infrastructure as Code.
  • Developing robust CI/CD pipelines to enable faster, safer software delivery.
  • Embedding DevSecOps principles and security tooling throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Improving platform resilience, monitoring, observability and operational performance.
  • Driving automation and adopting AI-assisted engineering to improve efficiency.
  • Working closely with software engineers, infrastructure specialists and support teams to continuously improve engineering standards.
  • Influencing the future DevOps strategy and introducing new ideas that make a lasting difference.
What we're looking for

You'll have experience with most of the following:
  • AWS
  • Terraform
  • Kubernetes (EKS would be advantageous)
  • CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation
  • Docker, containers and Linux
  • DevSecOps, SAST/DAST and cloud security best practices
  • Monitoring, logging and observability platforms
  • Agile software delivery environments
Why join?
  • Build technology that has a genuine positive impact on society.
  • Join a business investing heavily in cloud, automation and AI.
  • Influence engineering standards rather than simply following them.
  • Work alongside talented engineers solving complex technical challenges.
  • Be part of a collaborative culture focused on innovation, learning and continuous improvement.
Security requirements

Due to the nature of the work, you'll need to be eligible to obtain UK Security Clearance. Applicants must have the permanent right to work in the UK, hold a full UK driving licence and have access to a vehicle.
