Senior Automation Tester

Do you want a blank canvas to build out test automation for one of the UK’s leading retailers?

You’ll be joining an IT department implementing testing for the first time thus giving you the autonomy to help implement test automation frameworks, best practice across various IT systems and applications.

As a Senior Automation Tester you’ll work closely with the Test Manager to define automation test strategy, select appropriate tooling, grow the team, and implement test automation across the business. You’ll manage all automation test activities for key IT projects, maintain test documentation, design and execute test cases, implement new testing initiatives, and evaluate the overall performance of the test function.

This role really is greenfield where you can come in and implement what you see fit to create the entire test automation landscape. 

The role is based in Solihull, 1 day a week in the office (4 from home).

SALARY: up to £60 000 depending on experience

Ideally you will have:

• Experience of implementing test automation within a business from scratch.
• Mentoring of less experienced test analysts.
• Proficient in use of test tools e.g. JIRA.
• Working experience of generating and executing functional, non-functional and regression tests.
