We are seeking a visionary and hands on leader to serve as Director - Global Data, Analytics and AI Platforms. In this role, you will own the architecture, evolution, operations and governance of our global commercial platforms for data, analytics and AI. You will design and implement a secure, scalable, and cloud native ecosystem enabling global product launches across multiple countries.

This position can be filled in London, UK (preferred) or East Coast, US.

Your main responsibilities will include the following: Platform Strategy & Architecture
  • Define and execute the global strategy and roadmap for Data, Analytics and AI platforms, ensuring scalability, security, and compliance across regions
  • Oversee architecture of the data stack (Databricks, AWS, dbt Cloud, Fivetran, Tableau) and govern infrastructure for CI/CD, GitHub, and cloud environments
Data Management & Governance
  • Manage end to end data lifecycle (Ingestion, Integration, Quality Control, Governance) and establish frameworks for governance, data quality, metadata, and lineage
  • Lead global data engineering initiatives, including ELT/ETL pipelines, dbt modeling, and lakehouse optimization
  • Business ownership of master data management platform and data stewardship
  • Manage day to day operations for data, analytics, AI and platforms
Analytics Enablement & Platform Adoption
  • Partner with analytics and data science teams to enable the delivery of enterprise dashboards, predictive models, and AI driven insights
  • Drive global rollout and adoption of platforms; define KPIs and success metrics to measure performance, ROI, and operational impact
Governance & Continuous Improvement
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA, GDPR, and GxP; champion agile delivery and continuous improvement using DevOps and Kanban
  • Monitor platform KPIs and drive measurable outcomes in cost optimization, uptime, and delivery velocity
  • Collaborate with Global Commercial, Global Market Access, IT, as well as US, Germany and other affiliates to onboard data and solutions
  • Align global stakeholders on strategic data priorities, act as a trusted advisor and data evangelist
  • Communicate business impact and outcomes effectively to executive leadership
What you have to offer:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Data Science, or a related field
  • 12+ years of experience in hands on data platform management, with at least 5 years in pharmaceutical commercial data
  • Proven track record of building and scaling enterprise grade data and analytics ecosystems across geographies
  • Deep expertise in commercial pharma data assets (IQVIA, Symphony, Veeva, Salesforce, Adobe, etc.)
  • Strong technical proficiency in:
    • Cloud platforms: AWS (preferred), Azure, or GCP
    • Data tools: Databricks, Snowflake, dbt, Fivetran
    • Visualization tools: Tableau, Power BI
    • Version control & CI/CD: GitHub, Jenkins
  • English fluency required, German language skills are considered a plus
