The team
The Technology Transactions team sits within a broader commercial practice and is regarded as one of the strongest tech-focused teams in the market.
The team advises on cutting-edge AI, data, and technology projects, combining deep sector knowledge with a highly commercial, pragmatic approach. Work is frequently international in scope, involving sophisticated clients operating across multiple jurisdictions.
The role
The firm is looking to welcome a Senior Associate into its Technology Transactions team, with a specific focus on AI contracting and governance.
Working closely with market-leading partners, the successful candidate will take a lead role on complex and high-profile matters, including:
- Advising on AI contractual frameworks, governance models, and risk allocation
- Drafting and negotiating complex technology agreements, including cloud, SaaS, outsourcing, and system implementation projects
- Supporting clients on the legal and regulatory issues associated with the deployment and use of AI
- Leading significant technology transactions with light-touch partner oversight
- Contributing to business development and thought leadership in AI and emerging technology
Required
- Qualified solicitor with 5 PQE +
- Strong background in technology transactions gained at a leading law firm or comparable environment
- Demonstrable experience advising on AI contractual and governance issues
- A genuine interest in developing a long-term career in AI law
