Application Analyst
Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Taurus EPR team powered by Epic as an application analyst.
As a Taurus application analyst, you'll play a vital role in optimising and supporting our Taurus electronic patient record (EPR) system. You'll work closely with clinicians, department leaders, and IT teams to implement, maintain, and improve Taurus applications that support safe and efficient patient care.
Main duties of the job
Have a certification in an application module in at least one Epic service area or working towards gaining certification.
Support with the analysing and documenting of local workflows, data collection and reporting requirements.
Works with stakeholders to translate their requirements into system configuration under the guidance of the Senior Analyst.
Ensure that the system is configured to meet new 'best practice' ways of working, in order to achieve benefits across the whole patient pathway and not just within each module.
Apply Epic build and design knowledge to analyse current business practices to provide the recommended workflow solutions.
Support on designated integrated areas (such as testing, printing, business continuity planning) to ensure a coordinated approach across all application teams.
Work with the team and stakeholders to solve problems and challenges in the workflows and system build that have previously not been encountered by Epic.
Support the planning, designing, and execution of user testing efforts and ensures module testing activity is completed, tracked and is consistent with published deadlines.

Professional/Managerial/Specialist Knowledge

Qualifications
- Certification in at least one Epic application. (Equivalent to a postgraduate qualification)
- Degree level or equivalent

Knowledge and Experience
- Experience working with clinicians and other staff to deeply understand their workflows and needs within the Epic system.
- Clear, detailed understanding of configuring the Epic platform and its modules through hands-on build and testing
- Ability to Identify and resolve issues within the Epic system, working with end-users to provide support.
