Job Summary

We're looking for a meticulous and technically minded QA Engineer to take ownership of end-to-end quality assurance across both internal game development and external platform integrations. This hybrid role is ideal for an experienced QA professional who understands how game content behaves in real-world environments — from studio builds through to live operator deployments.

You'll work closely with developers, integration engineers, product managers, and external partners to ensure every game not only meets internal quality standards but also performs flawlessly within multiple regulated markets and partner systems.

Responsibilities

Conduct full-cycle QA testing for in-house developed casino games, covering functionality, compliance, maths validation, and performance across devices.

Help define Black Cow's game QA strategy, processes, and tools.

Test integration builds on multiple operator platforms and content aggregation environments, validating successful API, wallet, and session communications.

Develop, execute, and maintain test cases for both game logic and external integration workflows.

Reproduce, document, and manage issues, following up with both internal teams and external partners.

Test critical features like real-time state synchronisation, latency, and anti-exploit/fairness mechanisms in a multiplayer environment.

Verify compliance with technical specifications, jurisdictional regulations, and certification requirements (AGCO, NJDGE, SPA, etc.).

Perform regression testing following platform updates or third-party SDK changes.

Collaborate with backend and integration engineers to troubleshoot cross-environment defects, analyse logs, and confirm data integrity between systems.

Support certification submissions, UAT sessions, and pre-production environment validations.

Qualifications

Required

3–6 years of experience in QA within iGaming, with strong exposure to both game testing and platform/system integration testing.

Solid understanding of casino game mechanics (RNG behavior, RTP verification, maths balancing, jackpot configuration, bonus rounds).

Practical knowledge of RESTful and event driven APIs, JSON validation, server logs, and platform communication flows.

Experience with common QA toolsets.

Familiarity with regulatory certification and release management processes in emerging markets like Ontario and Brazil.

Strong analytical mindset with high attention to detail, ownership, and accountability.

Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and communicate clearly across technical and non-technical teams.

Experience with CI/CD pipelines

Automated testing / regression testing.

Desirable

Previous experience representing QA in partner or client-facing meetings.
