Are you an experienced Quality Control professional with a passion for laboratory technology, compliance, and project leadership? We are recruiting for a QC Technical Project Manager to join a leading pharmaceutical manufacturing organisation, where you will play a pivotal role in driving technical projects, managing laboratory systems, and supporting the delivery of high-quality medicines.
The Role
Reporting to the Head of Quality Control, you will be responsible for managing all technical projects within the QC laboratory. This includes leading a team of technical specialists, overseeing laboratory electronic systems such as LIMS and CDS, introducing new technologies, managing equipment lifecycle plans, and ensuring compliance with GMP and Data Integrity requirements.
You will act as the technical lead for key laboratory initiatives, including new product introductions, analytical method transfers, system upgrades, validation activities, and global compliance programmes.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a team of QC Technical Specialists, ensuring strong performance and resource planning.
- Manage laboratory equipment and electronic systems to ensure compliance with GMP and Data Integrity requirements.
- Deliver technical projects involving equipment procurement, qualification, validation, and implementation.
- Maintain a long-term equipment replacement strategy to support future laboratory needs.
- Lead new product introduction, method transfer, and compliance-related activities.
- Oversee change controls, deviations, and validation activities associated with laboratory systems and equipment.
- Collaborate with IT teams, external vendors, and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure systems remain effective and compliant.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across QC operations and technology platforms.
- Support audits, inspections, regulatory submissions, and responses to technical enquiries.
- Champion data integrity and best practices across the laboratory environment.
About You

Essential Requirements
- Degree in a scientific discipline or equivalent industry experience.
- Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical QC equipment, laboratory systems, qualification, and validation activities.
- Previous experience managing QC equipment and electronic systems within a regulated environment.
- Experience working with laboratory software platforms such as LIMS and CDS.
- Thorough understanding of GMP regulations and Data Integrity principles.
- Proven ability to lead technical projects and deliver results to agreed timelines.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to analyse complex technical information and communicate it clearly.
