Head of Finance

Head of Finance / First-time no.1 / PE-Backed SaaS / London hybrid

Edtech business is recruiting a Head of Finance; their first inhouse finance-lead, to help drive the next phase of growth.

They’re a <£5m ARR SaaS platform backed by private equity, set to expand B2B & B2C customer base internationally. This person will build out the finance infrastructure and support wider business development.

The Role

You’ll partner directly with the CEO and investors to build and lead the finance function, combining hands-on delivery with strategic input.

Key areas:

• Own financial reporting, controls, and accounting operations
• Build SaaS KPI reporting (ARR, churn, CAC, LTV) and a single source of truth
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial modelling
• Drive insight on pricing, growth, and unit economics
• Implement cashflow forecasting and improve commercial visibility
• Support systems, automation, and process scalability

What We’re Looking For

• Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA)
• Currently a Financial Controller, Finance Manager, or strong #2
• Experience in SaaS, subscription, or high-growth environments preferred
• Strong fundamentals in reporting, FP&A, and financial modelling
• Ambitious, hands-on, and ready to step into a #1 role
