As a founding engineer, you won't just ship features; you'll shape the product, define the architecture, and play a key role in how AI interacts with real-world customers every day. What You'll Do
- Build and ship core product features across a modern stack (Python, TypeScript, cloud, event-driven systems)
- Own problems end-to-end from customer discovery through to production deployment
- Work directly with users to turn messy, real-world workflows into elegant AI-powered solutions
- Balance speed vs scalability, knowing when to prototype and when to harden systems
- Set the standard for engineering excellence across reliability, testing, and security
Experience
- 5-10 years in full-stack engineering (backend-leaning)
- Proven track record building and shipping AI products end-to-end — especially agentic systems
- Experience in early-stage startups (or founder-level ownership mindset)
- Bonus: direct experience working with customers
- Strong Python or TypeScript skills (async Python is essential)
- Hands-on experience with LLMs and modern AI tooling
- Deep understanding of:
- async/await, coroutines
- AsyncOpenAI
- production-grade error handling in async systems
- Experience with cloud infrastructure (Kubernetes, serverless, distributed systems)
- You move fast and take ownership
- You're comfortable with ambiguity and building from first principles
- You care about shipping real products — not just prototypes
