Description & Requirements
The Product Experience (ProdX) team exists to strengthen product practices across Bloomberg and instill a company-wide product mindset. We believe this is essential for delivering cohesive customer experiences and building a focused, collaborative organization. We do this by promoting aligned product strategies, developing skills across individuals and teams, cultivating community, and supporting the adoption of an effective product operating model.
We are looking for a Product Coach to help accelerate the development and impact of product management at Bloomberg. In this role, you will design and deliver training, coach product managers and teams, and partner with product leaders and executives, in service of building better products, sharper strategies, and stronger ways of working. You will work across the full product lifecycle, from discovery and strategy to execution and go-to-market, helping teams use evidence and customer understanding to drive outcomes.
We'll Trust You To
  • Coach product managers, teams, and leaders on core product competencies such as strategy, vision, outcome-driven roadmaps, customer discovery, experimentation, decision-making, and metrics.
  • Partner with product leaders and executives to clarify product visions, define aligned strategies, and embed outcome-based planning—without operating as a professional executive coach.
  • Create and deliver high-quality training experiences that build practical product skills and support the adoption of the Bloomberg Product Operating Model.
  • Design tools, templates, frameworks, and written guidance to grow Bloomberg's shared repository of product resources.
  • Assess product practices and ways of working to identify trends, maturity gaps, and opportunities for systematic improvement.
  • Translate complex coaching insights into clear, actionable guidance that influences decisions at multiple levels of the organization.
  • Model a culture of evidence-based thinking, continuous learning, customer focus, and experimentation.
  • Work closely with fellow product coaches to co-develop strategy, scale engagement tactics, and continuously evolve our coaching approach.
  • Build strong internal networks across Product, Engineering, Design, Sales, and other stakeholder groups to align around shared outcomes.
  • Contribute to a cohesive, forward-looking vision for the Product Coaching function within ProdX.
You'll Need To Have
  • Experience as a Product Manager, including time as a product leader or senior IC responsible for strategy, discovery, and delivering outcomes.
  • Experience of coaching or developing product managers or product teams, through formal coaching, mentoring, training, or leadership roles.
  • Deep understanding of modern product management practices, from mindset and values to tools and techniques, with appreciation that one size does not fit all.
  • Demonstrated experience designing and delivering engaging, effective training.
  • Proven ability to work with senior leaders and teams to influence product strategy, decision-making, and prioritization.
  • Strong communication and facilitation skills, including the ability to simplify complexity and guide groups through structured thinking.
  • Experience launching new products, evolving existing ones, or transforming teams and processes.
  • Ability to balance structure with flexibility, bringing rigor without overprescribing, and adapting your approach to the context at hand.
  • Comfort with ambiguity and the ability to operate across a large, complex organization.
We'd Love To See
  • Experience in financial services or large B2B environments with complex stakeholder dynamics.
  • Familiarity with "Training from the Back of the Room" or other experiential learning approaches.
  • A systems-thinking mindset and comfort navigating organizational complexity.
  • Experience improving collaboration between Product, Engineering, Sales, and other cross-functional partners.
  • Coaching accreditation (ICF ACC or equivalent) or comparable professional coaching experience.
  • A strong sense of ownership, curiosity, and willingness to experiment and continuously improve.
