Project Manager (ICT)

Reporting to: IT Programme Manager

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced and highly organised Project Manager to deliver multiple concurrent ICT projects across the full project lifecycle. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to agreed quality standards, in line with organisational governance frameworks.

This role involves close collaboration with internal teams and external partners, including contractors, consultants, and vendors. The position incorporates elements of Project Management, Business Analysis, and Test Management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and manage project scope, objectives, milestones, and deliverables in collaboration with the IT Management Team and key stakeholders.

  • Develop detailed project plans and schedules using appropriate project management tools.

  • Manage the end-to-end delivery of multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Coordinate internal resources and third-party suppliers to ensure successful project execution.

  • Track and report on project progress, milestones, risks, and issues, providing accurate and timely updates to stakeholders.

  • Ensure appropriate governance, documentation, and project controls are consistently applied and maintained.

  • Identify, assess, and manage project risks and issues, implementing mitigation strategies as required.

  • Gather and define business and technical requirements where necessary.

  • Collaborate with analysts, designers, system owners, and stakeholders to support solution development and implementation.

  • Coordinate system testing and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).

  • Oversee the production of technical, functional, training, and communication documentation as required.

  • Effectively communicate project expectations and updates to stakeholders at all levels.

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Proven experience delivering multiple concurrent ICT projects.

  • Strong understanding of project governance and lifecycle methodologies.

  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

  • Experience managing third-party suppliers and vendors.

  • Ability to manage risks, issues, budgets, and timelines effectively.

  • Experience in business analysis and requirements gathering.

  • Knowledge of system and user acceptance testing processes.

  • Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
