Network Project Manager - *Comms cabinet* Excellent global company

An excellent Project Manager (Networks) role has just come up for an international prestigious client in its field based in Milton Keynes. This is a 12m contract.

A truly excellent role for a candidate wishing to join the company on a 12m Contract basis with a strong likelihood the role will go permanent. Candidates must be familiar with the infrastructure of a Comms cabinet and its deployment. A retail background is essential

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • End to end Project Planning & Delivery, Installing comms cabinets across many stores.
  • Develop detailed project timelines and budgets.
  • Defining the project scope, its objectives and deliverables
  • Oversee site surveys and ensure accurate documentation of existing cabling and network layouts.
  • Manage the installation and configuration of comms cabinets and associated hardware.
  • Stakeholder Management
  • Act as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, including IT teams, retail operations, and third-party vendors.
  • Provide regular status updates and ensure clear communication of risks, issues, and progress.
  • Quality & Compliance
  • Ensure all cabling and cabinet installations meet industry standards and company policies.
  • Maintain accurate records of cable data and network diagrams for future reference.
  • Risk & Issue Management
  • Identify potential risks and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Resolve issues promptly to avoid project delays.
Required Skills & Experience
  • Proven experience managing network infrastructure projects in retail or multi-site environments.
  • Strong understanding of structured cabling, network hardware, and comms cabinet installations.
  • Excellent project management skills, including planning, scheduling, and resource allocation.
  • Familiarity with ITIL, Prince2, or Agile methodologies (certifications preferred).
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple sites and vendors effectively.
  • Technical certifications such as CCNA, CompTIA Network+ or equivalent.
  • Experience with network documentation tools and asset management systems.
  • Previous experience in a retail IT environment.
