About the Role
We're looking for a reliable and technically capable Infrastructure Support Specialist to join our Client Services team. In this role, you’ll support the day-to-day infrastructure operations, assist with service desk queries, and help maintain system performance and reliability across cloud and on-prem environments.
You’ll be responsible for managing Active Directory, SSL certificates, and troubleshooting server and infrastructure issues. Occasionally, you'll need to apply security patches or carry out system updates outside of standard working hours.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Supporting and maintaining infrastructure operations on a daily basis
- Investigating and resolving issues such as server crashes and performance faults
- Administering Active Directory for user and group management
- Managing SSL certificates to ensure secure system communication
- Supporting internal teams with hardware, software, and endpoint-related issues
- Collaborating on server migrations and system improvements
Key Skills and Experience
Essential:
- Strong experience with AWS systems and services
- Clear written and verbal communication
- Self-starter with good organisational and time-management skills
Desirable:
- Active Directory administration and patch management
- Linux/Unix administration skills
- Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL database management
- Familiarity with load balancers (e.g., AWS ALB, NGINX, Apache)
- Solid understanding of networking within AWS (VPC, IGW, NAT, security groups)
- Experience with virtual machine disk formats (e.g., VMDK)
- Familiarity with Rackspace cloud infrastructure
- SSL certificate management
- Experience with IaC tools (Terraform, CloudFormation)
- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines, containers, and config management tools (e.g., Ansible)
