Multi Skilled Shift Electrician
A leading facilities management company is seeking an experienced Multi-Skilled Shift Technician to join its critical operations team. This role will be responsible for the operation, installation, and maintenance of building engineering services, ensuring an optimal working environment for a high-performance Data Centre.
Shift Pattern:
Week 1: 4 nights on, 3 off
Week 2: 3 days, 1 off, 3 nights on
Week 3: 3 off, 4 days
Week 4: 1 off, 3 days, 3 off
Week 5: 7 off

Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality planned preventative and reactive maintenance.
- Support the technical evaluation of plant and equipment, suggesting improvements where appropriate.
- Accurately record and report maintenance works in the CAFM database.
- Perform operational duties and maintenance routines under the direction of the Shift Supervisor, ensuring safe and timely completion of tasks.
- Monitor and maintain critical service equipment performance in the Data Centre.
- Carry out Data Hall electrical installations and testing to site specifications.
- Act as an Authorised Person for LV/HV electrical systems.
- Qualified to Level 3 or above in a recognised electrical or mechanical discipline (e.g., City & Guilds 2360 Parts 1 & 2 or equivalent).
- Multi-skilled with at least 3 years’ experience operating mission-critical installations.
- Strong understanding of M&E equipment in a modern Data Centre environment, including UPS systems, standby generators, BMS, HV/LV switchgear, air conditioning, and chilled water cooling systems.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a small team.
