About the role
The IS Manager for Websites is a senior role in the IS team of Booker, and manages a team that is responsible for delivering effective, secure and efficient systems in digital to help improve customer satisfaction and cash profit. The role is accountable for the delivery of projects on websites plays key role in planning, building and delivering the new exciting projects on website and App and new features are delivered on time and to a high standard. You will liaise with external service providers to complete new website development projects, implement new features. Managing the internal teams, external developers and external suppliers that deliver software development, infrastructure and software technical support.
You will be responsible for
- Manage the web project team, manage their performance and progression and have effective succession plans in place.
- Manage the ongoing Web system costs and monitor versus budget.
- Manage web project development budgets.
- Monitor system KPIs.
- Maintain the website project roadmap.
- Balancing resource requirements to ensure the needs of the projects are met by the team/developers.
You will need
- Strong people management, with proven ability to effectively manage team capability and performance.
- Good understanding and a track record of delivering web solutions within a pressurised environment.
- Strong understanding of running websites for high loads. Desirable to have strong knowledge and experience of high-volume transactional business.
- A strong people manager, with excellent collaboration and stakeholder management skills. Able to build solid working relationships with external developers.
