Overview

Boost Talent are seeking a strong, commercially focused Business Architect to join a high-value, high-impact transformation programme within the financial services sector. This role sits at the heart of a major change initiative that will drive meaningful business change, significantly improve service quality, and shape the organisation's target operating model.

The successful candidate will work closely with senior technology and business leadership, including the CTO, to ensure business strategy, architecture and technology delivery are fully aligned. Candidates must live within commutable distance of Leeds, due to the mandatory onsite requirement.

Key Responsibilities

• Work as part of the Architecture team to support the delivery of complex enterprise architecture initiatives, bridging business strategy and technology delivery.
• Partner closely with the CTO, senior stakeholders, architects, engineers and developers to inform architectural designs and supporting artefacts.
• Drive and support business change initiatives, ensuring architecture enables effective transformation at scale.
• Lead the organisation towards capability-led design, ensuring alignment between business and technical architecture in collaboration with Product Leads.
• Identify and deliver architecture-driven improvements that enhance service quality, operational efficiency and cost optimisation.
• Contribute to the definition and delivery of the Target Operating Model (TOM), supporting future-state business and technology alignment.
• Produce and contribute to Enterprise Blueprinting, translating architectural decisions into clear outputs for a wider business audience.
• Collaborate with the Architecture team on operating model design, platform and product architecture, providing strong foundations for the portfolio.
• Act as an authority on the Business Change Management Board, influencing governance, priorities and delivery decisions.
• Champion continuous learning, best practice and forward-thinking architecture principles across the organisation.

Essential Skills & Experience

• Proven experience as a Business Architect within financial services (mandatory) with a strong finance or financial services background.
• Demonstrable experience delivering enterprise-scale business change and transformation programmes.
• Strong experience defining and implementing target operating models, business capabilities and value streams.
• Proven ability to work closely with CTO-level stakeholders and senior leadership teams.
• Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence across business and technology functions.
• Ideally live within commutable distance of Leeds to support the required onsite attendance
