Our client is expanding their Technical Operations function and is looking for two experienced 3rd Line Technical Support Engineers to support a critical 24/7 service. This role offers long stretches of downtime between shifts, complex technical exposure, and the chance to work with leading-edge technologies such as Fortinet SD-WAN, Cisco ISE, Meraki Wi-Fi, and advanced security tooling.
This is primarily a remote role - you'll only need to travel to Hull or Newcastle 1-2 days per week.
What You'll Be Doing
- Deliver expert 3rd Line support across infrastructure, networking, and security
- Maintain stable, secure, and resilient technical operations in a 24/7 environment
- Troubleshoot complex issues across routing, switching, WAN/LAN, and Firewalls
- Work hands-on with:
- Fortinet SD-WAN & Firewalls
- Cisco ISE
- Cisco Meraki Wi-Fi
- Support and enhance security controls including:
- SIEM
- DLP
- Vulnerability Management
- Cyber Threat Intelligence
- Endpoint Protection
- Build strong working relationships with technical stakeholders
- Contribute to automation initiatives and continuous service improvement
What You'll Bring
- Strong background across Infrastructure, Networking, and Security
- Proven 3rd Line experience in high-availability or 24/7 environments
- Hands-on expertise with routing/switching and physical & virtual Firewalls
- Proactive mindset with excellent troubleshooting capability
- Ability to work within a structured shift pattern
Shift Pattern - 4-Week Rotation (12-hour shifts)
- Week 1: 4 Nights - 3 Days Off
- Week 2: 3 Days - 1 Day Off - 3 Nights
- Week 3: 3 Days Off - 4 Days
- Week 4: 7 Days Off
This pattern offers long rest periods and a well-balanced working rhythm.
Location Requirement
Due to occasional on-site visits, only candidates based in the North of England can be considered.
