SC-Cleared Senior Developer - £450-£475 per day, Inside IR35 - Mostly Remote- Initial 3 months:
We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Software Developer (Backend) to join a high-performing team delivering solutions within a government environment. This is a hands-on role suited to a strong engineer who thrives in collaborative teams and is passionate about quality-driven development.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop and deliver robust Back End services
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to shape technical solutions
- Contribute to technical direction and promote engineering best practices
- Participate in collaborative development activities including pair programming
- Ensure high-quality code through strong TDD practices
Essential Skills & Experience
- Proven experience as a Senior or Lead Backend Engineer within government/public sector environments
- Strong hands-on expertise in Kotlin (primary focus for this role)
- Solid experience with Java and Spring Boot
- Demonstrable experience applying Test-Driven Development (TDD) principles
- Collaborative, team-oriented mindset with a proactive approach
- Ability to engage in technical discussions and contribute to continuous improvement
- Availability to interview and start at short notice
