Our client is seeking an experienced SFIA 5 ADM/Senior Digital Project Manager to lead the delivery of two high-profile, department-wide transformation programmes within a major UK Government organisation.

\n

The successful contractor will be responsible for driving delivery across:

\n

Future of Communications (FOC)

\n

A strategic transformation programme focused on reviewing and restructuring internal communications and engagement tools across the organisation. Following a comprehensive research phase, the programme is now entering an ambitious pilot stage, with multiple pilots running through 2026.

\n

New Intranet Programme

\n

A large-scale digital transformation initiative responsible for designing and delivering a new enterprise Intranet platform to replace the current third-party solution.

\n

Both programmes are business-critical, highly visible and have significant interdependencies, requiring an experienced project professional capable of managing complex stakeholder landscapes and delivering outcomes at scale.

\n

Key Responsibilities

\n

    \n
  • Lead digital projects from discovery through to live service.
  • \n

  • Deliver projects within agreed quality, time and cost parameters.
  • \n

  • Develop and manage project plans, RAID logs, governance and reporting.
  • \n

  • Identify, manage and escalate risks, issues and dependencies where required.
  • \n

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with senior stakeholders, delivery teams and third-party suppliers.
  • \n

  • Manage project budgets and provide accurate reporting to governance boards and senior leadership.
  • \n

  • Drive effective collaboration across multidisciplinary teams.
  • \n

  • Foster a positive delivery culture and resolve team conflicts where necessary.
  • \n

  • Manage project change controls and understand cross-project impacts.
  • \n

  • Ensure clear, consistent communications tailored to a variety of stakeholder groups.
  • \n

  • Act as the primary contact for external suppliers and delivery partners.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience delivering complex digital projects within large organisations.
  • \n

  • Strong end-to-end project management experience across the full delivery life cycle.
  • \n

  • Experience leading and motivating multidisciplinary teams.
  • \n

  • Strong stakeholder management skills across business and technical functions.
  • \n

  • Demonstrable experience working across organisational boundaries and multiple delivery teams.
  • \n

  • Excellent knowledge of Agile delivery methodologies.
  • \n

  • Strong understanding of project management frameworks, tools and governance.
  • \n

  • Ability to develop realistic delivery plans incorporating quality, risk and communications planning.
  • \n

  • Experience tracking delivery against milestones and managing dependencies effectively.
  • \n

  • Strong reporting, budgeting and governance experience.

SFIA Requirement

\n

Candidates should demonstrate capability aligned to SFIA Level 5 (Ensure, Advise), reflecting experience delivering large-scale, complex projects with significant organisational impact, stakeholder engagement and accountability for successful outcomes.
