SAP S/4 HANA Finance & Procurement Functional Lead - ASAP Start - Hybrid working

Role Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled SAP Finance/Procurement Functional Consultant to support our digital transformation opportunity within the telecoms sector. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in SAP FI/CO and MM/Ariba modules, and non-SAP application (Zip) with a deep understanding of telecom-specific business processes. Experience with SAP Grow is a distinct advantage, particularly in supporting the business case and enabling rapid deployment and scalability for mid-sized operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate workshops with business stakeholders to define As-Is and To-Be process maps, ensuring alignment with SAP best practices and telecom operational needs.
  • Lead SAP functional design and configuration for Finance and Procurement modules.
  • Align SAP solutions with telecom business processes such as infrastructure procurement, network rollout, and service operations.
  • Collaborate with finance, supply chain, and network operations teams to gather requirements and deliver integrated solutions.
  • Document functional specifications, process flows, and configuration guides.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience in SAP FI/CO and MM/SRM/Ariba, preferably within telecom or asset-intensive industries.
  • Proven ability to lead workshops and translate business requirements into clear process maps and functional designs.
  • Process Mapping Expertise: Proficient in creating detailed As-Is and To-Be process maps using tools like Visio, ARIS, or Signavio, ensuring clarity and alignment with SAP best practices.
  • Strong understanding of telecom procurement cycles, CAPEX/OPEX management, and vendor contracts.
  • Experience with SAP S/4HANA and Fiori apps.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
  • SAP certification in relevant modules is a plus.

  • Stakeholder Engagement: Strong interpersonal skills to engage finance, procurement, and operations teams, facilitating consensus and managing conflicting priorities.
  • Requirements facilitation: Experienced in using techniques such as interviews, brainstorming, and gap analysis to extract functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Capable of producing high-quality documentation including workshop minutes, process flows, functional specifications, and decision logs.
  • Business Process Reengineering: Able to identify inefficiencies in current processes and propose optimized SAP-enabled solutions tailored to telecom procurement and finance operations.
  • Change Management Awareness: Understands the impact of process changes on users and systems and highlights impacts of As Is-To Be proposals
