Role
We are seeking an experienced SAP S/4 HANA Solution Architect to lead the design, development, and implementation of an ongoing SAP S/4 HANA solution which is supporting the business strategy, regulatory requirements, and operational needs. The successful candidate will ensure the SAP landscape is scalable, secure, and integrated across business functions, particularly in asset-intensive and regulated industries preferably with chemical and/or nuclear industry experience.

Candidates must have or can be considered for UK security clearance at DBS level, be available for on-site work up to 2 days a week, in either our London or North West of England locations, and available for discussions/interviews in the immediate term.

Core Functional Requirements & Experience:

Architecture & Strategy

• Define and maintain SAP architecture roadmaps (eg, S/4HANA, BTP, RISE).

• Align SAP solutions with enterprise architecture principles and business goals.

• Lead fit-gap analysis and solution assessments across SAP modules.

Solution Design & Delivery

• Design end-to-end SAP solutions including integrations with non-SAP systems.

• Translate business requirements into technical specifications.

• Oversee implementation, testing, and deployment of SAP solutions.

Stakeholder Engagement

• Collaborate with business units, IT teams, and external vendors.

• Act as a trusted advisor on SAP capabilities, limitations, and best practices.

• Facilitate workshops and architecture reviews.

Industry Experience:

• Sector Experience: Experience working in government/defence-related industries, or in Pharma/Chemicals, Oil and Gas manufacturing, with A&D manufacturing and/or maintenance.

• Security Clearance: Must have or be able to gain DBS Security clearance.

Key Skills:

• Proven experience in SAP architecture across multiple modules (eg, FI/CO, MM, PM, EAM).

• Minimum 4 full life cycle SAP implementations.

• Strong understanding of SAP S/4HANA, BTP, and integration frameworks.

• Experience in regulated industries (eg, nuclear, utilities, manufacturing).

• Familiarity with Enterprise Architecture frameworks (eg, TOGAF).

• Knowledge of cloud platforms (eg, Azure, AWS) and hybrid environments.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Contract

• Initial 6 month with potential to extend

Primary Location:

• London and/or North West England

• Remote working with expectation of 2 days per week on-site for meeting and review purpose
