BCGis committed to hiring and developing top talent. We are transforming our operating model to leverage SAP S/4 Hana Public Cloud as our new ERP. We are thereforeseeking an experienced ERP engineering senior manager for our Finance product team.

What You'll Do

The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering robust and performant solutions for various BCG initiatives supporting the firm’s Finance function, with a focus on our ERP platform, SAP S4/Hana Public Cloud. Working in an Agile squad environment, the candidate will be a hands-on contributor and leader for all aspects of the project delivery cycle. As a key technical resource, you will work closely with other groups in building new functionality, assisting with architectural designs, helping to define sprints, and partnering to turn requirements into reality. The candidate will serve as line manager for engineers who are focused on SAP-specific components such as Business Technology Platform (BTP), Cloud Foundry, iFlows and Data Sphere. The candidate will oversee operational support as well as perform all other related tasks, such as

• Define the architecture and technical standards for using SAP BTP services, such as SAP Integration Suite, SAP Extension Suite, SAP BPA (Build Process Automation), SAP Analytics Cloud, SAP BTP AI core and SAP Data Sphere
• Lead the development and deployment of custom applications, extensions, and services on SAP BTP to meet specific business needs
• Design data management and analytics solutions on SAP BTP, bringing to bear tools like SAP BPA, SAP CALM, SAP Data Intelligence, SAP HANA Cloud, and SAP Analytics Cloud
• Define and enforce security standards for application development, data management, and integration on SAP BTP
• Provide regular status updates to project managers and senior leadership on the progress of SAP BTP-related activities.
• Mentor a global team of engineers on SAP specialty technologies and tooling
• Act as escalation point and subject matter expert for production support incidents related to BTP and related in-scope technology
• Ensure alignment of solution architecture with SAP S/4Hana Public Cloud capabilities and extensibility model
• Write concise and clear Technical Systems Design documents, based on analysis of business requirements
• Work collaboratively with team in supporting the current application environment

• Designing and delivering advanced software solutions, leveraging CI/CD best practices and cloud engineering platforms
• Applying Agile software development methodologies and principles, including work estimation techniques
• Working closely with key stakeholders and providing a high level of customer service in a friendly, professional manner
• Leveraging strong analytical abilities and creative problem solving
• Learning new tools and technologies with a high degree of technical competence
• Advanced verbal and written communication skills
• Showing a commitment to deliver high quality work on time
• Expert problem-solving skills, with the ability to determine issue root causes and produce creative solutions
• Working with multicultural distributed team located in different time zones and have the capacity to work on multiple projects concurrently
• Excellent documentation skills
• Working independently with limited direction

What You'll Bring

• College degree and 8 or more years of experience in the delivery of business applications in a commercial IT setting, or in consulting
• Language and global skills: High fluency English, global experience preferred
• 7+ years of work experience in SAP and the related ecosystem, with deep subject matter expertise across multiple components, including:
• SAP’s Business Technology Platform (BTP), including SAP Extension Suite, SAP BPA, SAP HANA Cloud, SAP Integration Suite, SAP Analytics Cloud
• SAP’s Cloud Foundry
• SAP’s AI BTP capabilities
• Proven experience in designing and implementing solutions on SAP BTP in large-scale SAP implementation projects
• Expertise in cloud architecture, API management, and integration technologies.
• Proficiency in SAP BTP development tools and methodologies, including SAP Fiori, SAPUI5, and cloud-native development practices
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with a focus on attention to detail.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical collaborators
• Experience working in an Agile team on critical line-of-business applications
• Experience building secure modern applications with modern architectures
• Good understanding of security best practices from development and deployment perspective
• Strong technical competence, with the ability to rapidly learn new tools and technologies
• Able to adapt easily to changing requirements and priorities
  

Additional info

You will report to the Technology Team Lead for our SAP S/4 Hana platform, who will coordinate the technology strategy of this pivotal platform across our teams. You will work closely with other engineering chapter leads and solution architects to establish and implement best practices for platform and integration development and maintenance. You will work with product owners and their agile squads to deliver on defined business outcomes. You will work the broader BCG engineering community to innovate and mature engineering processes in line with industry best practices.
