Language: English

Location: UK / Netherlands

Employment Type: Permanent

Sponsorship: Available

Description:

We are seeking a Murex Front Office Business Analyst / Configurator to drive changes and enhancements across the Front Office domain—supporting trade execution, pricing, market data, and risk within Murex MX.3, with additional emphasis on Securities Financing workflows (Repos/Reverse Repos/Basket Repos/Buy-sell-buy).

The role blends hands-on Murex configuration with strong business analysis and testing/validation, partnering closely with Front Office stakeholders, IT teams, and vendors to deliver stable production outcomes.

You will contribute to both project delivery (new features, upgrades, regulatory change) and BAU/production support (2nd/3rd line rotation), ensuring system performance, control, and user enablement are maintained at a high standard.

Requirements:

  • Strong hands-on experience with Murex MX.3 Front Office as a BA and/or Configurator (trade capture, pricing, market data, risk).
  • Exposure to Securities Financing asset classes and workflows (e.g., Repos, Reverse Repos, Basket Repos, Buy-sell-buy) and the ability to support related FO configuration and controls.
  • Proven capability to refine requirements with FO users and translate into functional specifications; able to run gap analysis and feasibility assessments.

Experience configuring/enhancing key FO components, including:

  • Curve configuration (pricing/hedge curves)
  • Pre-trade workflows
  • Datamart reporting & simulation views
  • Pricing templates
  • Generators / Indexes / Archiving groups
  • Basic awareness of EOD/GOM concepts
  • Strong testing ownership: build test plans, execute SIT/UAT, manage defect triage, and validate fixes end-to-end.
  • Exposure to MxML workflows, data mapping, and scripting/automation for integration or operational improvements.
  • Comfortable investigating discrepancies in positions/P&L using tools such as Livebook, simulations, and warehouse data.
  • Willingness to participate in 2nd/3rd line production support rotation (including out-of-hours incident pickup when required).

Key Responsibilites:

  • Configure and maintain Murex FO features supporting execution, pricing, market data, and risk—ensuring performance and stability (including Securities Financing workflows where applicable).
  • Own business analysis activities: gather/refine requirements, write functional specs, and drive stakeholder sign-offs.
  • Deliver FO enhancements across curves, market data, pricing templates, simulation views, Datamart reporting, and pre-trade workflows.
  • Lead testing and validation: produce test packs, run SIT/UAT, manage defects, and confirm readiness for production release.
  • Support regulatory initiatives impacting FO operations, ensuring configurations/processes remain compliant.
  • Provide BAU support through L2/L3 production rotation: triage incidents, troubleshoot issues, coordinate fixes, and ensure resolution is documented.
  • Work closely with FO users, IT teams, and vendors; provide training/support to end-users and manage expectations.
  • Drive continuous improvement: identify optimisation opportunities, improve processes/controls, and propose practical enhancements to Murex usage.
