Platform Engineer – Electronic Trading

London | Hybrid (3 days in the office per week)

We're hiring a Platform Engineer to help build a new electronic trading platform from the ground up, running in a private cloud environment.

This is a hands-on role sitting close to the trading desk, focused on performance, reliability, and scale in a fast-moving front-office setup.

What you'll be working on

• Building and running a private-cloud platform for a greenfield electronic trading system
• Supporting low-latency on-premises environments, performance-critical workloads
• Working day-to-day with developers and the trading desk to keep systems fast, stable, and observable

Core skills

• OpenShift & Kubernetes
• Strong Linux background
• Performance optimisation in production environments
• Terraform for infrastructure as code
• HashiCorp Vault (or similar secrets management)
• Private cloud infrastructure

Experience that matters

• Background in electronic trading systems (eFX, Equities, Fixed Income, etc.)
• Experience supporting front-office platforms and working closely with traders
• Comfortable in environments where performance and uptime are non-negotiable
