About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Employee Central Payroll (ECP) Functional Consultant/Payroll Lead to join our SAP Consulting Practice supporting UK and Ireland payroll projects. The successful candidate will lead or support SAP Payroll and SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll implementations, ensuring that client requirements are understood and translated into high-quality solutions.
You will take ownership of solution configuration, workshops, testing, data migration support, and post-deployment activities. This role requires strong payroll expertise, excellent communication skills, and demonstrable experience in delivering SAP HCM/SuccessFactors payroll projects.
Key Responsibilities
Solution Design
- Lead functional workshops aligned to project methodology and document decisions accurately.
- Define and document the configuration of SuccessFactors ECP and related modules.
- Balance technical feasibility, functional requirements, and client needs to recommend best-fit solutions.
- Ensure a smooth transition to support/maintenance teams at the end of delivery.
- Assist project teams with issue resolution to maintain project timeline and budget.
Data Migration
- Coordinate data mapping activities between clients and implementation teams (internal and/or third-party providers).
- Ensure clients understand and fulfil responsibilities regarding data cleansing, transformation, and delivery.
- Ensure adherence to data security and compliance procedures.
Integrations
- Support the technical teams in defining integration requirements.
- Contribute to client integration workshops and related documentation.
Testing
- Execute internal testing activities and ensure all defects are resolved before customer testing begins.
Post-Deployment/AMS
- Provide support with post-go-live activities and assist in resolving AMS support tickets if required.
Required Skills & Experience
MUST HAVE - In-depth knowledge of UK Payroll
MUST HAVE - In-depth knowledge of Ireland Payroll
MUST HAVE - In-depth knowledge of SAP HCM Payroll
- Strong experience delivering HR/Payroll services.
- Demonstrable experience implementing SAP HCM Payroll and/or SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll.
- Experience in at least one full end-to-end SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll deployment and multiple SAP HCM payroll implementations.
- Excellent client-facing communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to lead workshops and translate business needs into technical solutions.
Desirable Skills/Certifications
- SuccessFactors Associate Certification in Employee Central Payroll.
- SuccessFactors Associate Certification in Employee Central (advantageous).
