SAP QM Consultant - Pharma/S/4HANA Specialist

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced SAP Quality Management (QM) Consultant with pharmaceutical industry expertise and hands-on experience in S/4HANA implementations. The ideal candidate will have deep knowledge of regulated quality processes, compliance standards (eg, GMP, FDA, ISO), and SAP QM functionalities, ensuring seamless integration with other SAP modules to support end-to-end quality management in a pharma manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, configuration, and implementation of SAP QM processes in S/4HANA.

• Customize SAP QM functionalities for pharmaceutical operations, including inspection planning, in-process and final inspections, batch management, quality notifications, results recording, and certificates of analysis.

• Ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), FDA 21 CFR Part 11, and other relevant pharma regulations.

• Integrate QM with MM, PP, PM, and EWM in an S/4HANA environment to support end-to-end supply chain and manufacturing processes.

• Configure and support Advanced Quality Management features in S/4HANA, including Fiori apps for quality inspections and analytics.

• Support SAP validation and documentation processes as per pharma industry standards.

• Conduct system testing, data migration, and cutover activities during S/4HANA projects.

• Deliver end-user training and create user-friendly SOPs for SAP QM processes.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, supply chain, quality assurance, and IT.

• Troubleshoot and resolve SAP QM issues, ensuring minimal downtime.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Life Sciences, or related field.

• 5+ years of SAP QM implementation/support experience, with at least 2 full-cycle S/4HANA projects in the pharmaceutical industry.

• Strong understanding of pharma manufacturing processes and regulatory requirements.

• Expertise in SAP QM configuration, including batch management, stability studies, quality inspection types, sampling procedures, and audit management.

• Proven experience with S/4HANA Fiori apps and Embedded analytics for quality reporting.

• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills.

• SAP QM certification (preferred).

Preferred Skills

• Experience with SAP ATTP (Advanced Track and Trace for Pharmaceuticals).

• Familiarity with SAP DMS (Document Management System) for controlled document handling.

• Exposure to GxP validation and computer system validation (CSV) processes.

• Ability to work in a validated environment with strict change control processes.
