About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled SAP Payroll Specialist to join on an 8-month contract. The ideal candidate will act as a subject matter expert (SME) in all areas of payroll processing, supporting our clients with implementation, testing, incident resolution, and process improvements.
This role requires a strong mix of technical expertise, payroll knowledge, and problem-solving ability to ensure seamless payroll operations across complex environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the subject matter expert for all payroll-related processes in SAP.
- Analyze and resolve complex payroll issues, ensuring compliance and accuracy.
- Lead and support SAP Payroll implementations, including configuration, testing, and go-live activities.
- Manage change requests, incidents, and payroll system enhancements for customers.
- Document and analyze payroll processes to identify gaps and areas for improvement.
- Provide technical expertise to resolve issues in the SAP payroll application environment.
Must-Have Skills & Experience
- Senior-level expertise in UK payroll (SAP, taxation, social insurance).
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in SAP Payroll implementations for external clients.
- Proven experience in analysing, documenting, and optimizing payroll processes.
- Strong track record of leading SAP Payroll projects from implementation to post-go-live support.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to address complex payroll system challenges.
