Trading Assistant
Who We Are & What We Do
We are a small team of researchers and software developers analysing and trading in sports markets. Our work is evidence-driven, supported by highly automated processes, and backed by a strong science and programming background.
We develop technical tools for in-house services and constantly explore new opportunities for trading. Our main office is based in the City of London, where we enjoy a collaborative environment. We are now looking to grow our Operations team.
We welcome candidates with experience in a trading environment (eg sports betting) as well as recent graduates who want to help keep the day-to-day business running smoothly.

Responsibilities include:
- Monitoring and operating trading platforms that run 24/7
- Spotting inconsistencies, errors, and unusual behaviour
- Developing insights into customer, counterparty, and market behaviour
- Liaising with traders, counterparties, and trading venues on an ad hoc basis
- Helping troubleshoot issues in the trade cycle
- Collaborating with developers and traders to improve platform functionality
This role involves dealing with the unique challenges of operational trading work, so we're looking for someone with:
- BSc level education, ideally in a mathematical or scientific subject
- Good proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new applications
- Strong attention to detail - in this field, a single missed character can matter
- High degree of numeracy, including understanding probabilities
- Comfort working across different time zones and currencies
- Confidence making informed trading decisions
- Good organisational skills and a structured work approach
- Willingness to liaise with colleagues regularly to keep everyone updated
- SQL knowledge (advantageous but can be learned on the job)
- Strong interpersonal skills and a mature, responsible attitude
- Flexibility to work weekends (50% weekend work, with weekdays off in exchange)
- Initiative and self-motivation to pick up both existing and new projects
What We Offer
- Exposure to the latest technology and software
- A friendly, non-corporate environment with a flat hierarchy
- Work focused on ideas and solutions, free from unnecessary bureaucracy
- Benefits such as gym membership, pension scheme, private health insurance, team outings, daily fruit/snacks, and more
- A healthy work-life balance, occasional pizza lunches, and the odd office cake
- Full-time, permanent role available immediately
