The Contract Support Officer will be part of the Contracting Team, supporting the management of a portfolio of NHS and non-NHS contracts. The post holder will provide efficient and effective administrative and project support, helping to coordinate contract activities, maintain contract management systems, support governance processes, and contribute to the delivery of key contractual and financial objectives.
The role will involve working with internal and external stakeholders, supporting meetings, preparing reports and documentation, maintaining accurate contract records, and assisting with contract monitoring activities. You will also have the opportunity to become involved in-service improvement initiatives, contract implementation projects and the development of processes that support effective contract management across the organisation.

Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will possess excellent communication, organisational and time-management skills and be able to manage multiple priorities to meet deadlines.
You should have previous administrative experience and be confident working with a range of stakeholders. Experience of organising meetings, producing meeting notes, maintaining databases, and using Microsoft Office applications is essential. Experience within the NHS, healthcare contracting, project support, or financial monitoring would be advantageous.
The role requires strong attention to detail, the ability to handle confidential information appropriately and the confidence to work independently using initiative whilst contributing effectively as part of a team.

The role forms part of the Contracting team which encompasses both the management and facilitation of partner relationships as well as the transactional activities required by the contracting and provider selection process. The post holder will contribute to the development of innovative and efficient contract management processes, supporting the wider use of digital technologies, automation and business intelligence tools to improve service delivery, reporting, information management and administrative efficiency across the Contracting Team.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
The Contract Support Officer is responsible for supporting the function through efficient and effective administrative support to an aligned portfolio of contracts with NHS and non-NHS providers delivering services for the population of West Yorkshire. The post holder will also be assigned function specific responsibilities relating to contracting, support the development and implementation of improved digital ways of working, identifying opportunities to streamline administrative processes through the use of Microsoft 365 applications, automation tools and other approved technologies.

Experience
- Experience of working with a range of administrative systems, processes and procedures.
- Experience of maintaining information systems and ensuring data quality and accuracy.
- Experience of using Microsoft Teams Channels to support collaborative working, document management and project coordination.
- Experience of working within the NHS.
- Experience of using Microsoft Copilot or other AI-enabled productivity tools to improve efficiency, communication and document creation.
- Experience of working with digital workflow tools such as Microsoft Forms, Power Automate or SharePoint.
- Experience of analysing, interpreting and presenting information using reporting and data visualisation tools.
