Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced IT professional to lead our End User Computing (EUC) team and drive the next phase of development across our end-user infrastructure--supporting the tools and services that clinicians and colleagues rely on every day.
You'll be a proactive, hands-on leader with a keen eye for detail--confident balancing competing priorities and communicating clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders at every level. Our EUC team delivers a secure, robust and consistent platform for clinicians and support staff alike providing the dependable foundation that underpins the Trust's Electronic Patient Record (EPR) and a wide range of clinical and administrative systems.
Main duties of the job
Our EUC team delivers a secure, robust and consistent platform for clinicians and support staff alike providing the dependable foundation that underpins the Trust's Electronic Patient Record (EPR) and a wide range of clinical and administrative systems.
As the EUC Manager, you'll take ownership of the Trust's end-user environment--supporting more than 4,000 desktops, 3,000 laptops and a broad range of additional mobile devices. You'll bring extensive knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems, application deployment/packaging, and imaging best practices to ensure a high-quality, consistent experience for users across the organisation.
You'll also be responsible for managing the Trust's M365 stack and email environment, including server platforms, client configuration and email security appliances--helping us keep services resilient, secure and ready for the future.

Person Specification
Qualifications
- Educated to degree level or equivalent experience
- Engineer level qualification from Microsoft, VMWare, Cisco or demonstrable experience
- GCSE Maths and English (Grades A - C) or equivalent
Experience
- Significant experience of maintaining, installing and administering systems and services within a similar organisation
- Experience of PRINCE project management methodologies
- Development of configuration management systems and services in a large public organisation.
- Configuration and change management in a large PC and server environment.
- National Health Service and an ability to communicate at all levels.
Skills
- Ability to work on their own and as part of a small team
- Able to meet tight deadlines and adjust priorities to achieve corporate aims.
- Present a professional image, and be able to put over technical issues to the non-technical
- Able to manage and train less-technical colleagues to achieve a common goal.
- Calm in a crisis and work well under pressure.
Knowledge
- Extensive knowledge of management & implementation of complex ICT systems.
- Expert Knowledge of Microsoft Client Operating Systems & Active Directory
- Expert Knowledge of Microsoft 365 stack including Entra ID, Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Intune
- Extensive specialist knowledge of Windows Server, SQL Server & Exchange & Email filtering appliances.
- Understanding of Information Governance and Confidentiality
- Knowledge of the National Health Service and an ability to communicate at all levels
- Extensive specialist knowledge of imaging practices and creation of "gold" images and application deployment
- Extensive knowledge of PC, Laptop and mobile device hardware.
