Job summary
Bradley's Practice - We have Part Time clinical administrator role based at both of our sites, Mold and Buckley . Hours of work can vary from 07.45am - 18.30pm, Monday to Friday.
The role of a clinical administrator is to be the welcoming face of the practice, dealing with telephone calls and visitors and an effective manner. You would also be working on navigation and booking patients into appointments. The work is varied and interesting and can be challenging.
Main duties of the job
We are looking for a self motivated individual who is capable of working on their own initiative and also who can work well with others. You would need to be well organised and be patient focused. Excellent IT skills are an advantage as most of the work involves using PC's on a daily basis. Would be an advantage if you have previous clinical experience.
About us
At Bradley's Practice we have 9 GP partners, Nurses, Advanced Nurse Practitioners and Health Care Assistants - these clinical staff are supported by reception and admin staff, who in turn are all managed by Operations Managers. We are a dual sited practice with offices in both Buckley and Mold which cover a wide practice area, with approx 18000 patients.

Job responsibilities
Clinical Administrator
Operating Telecommunications System
Receive and make Practice telephone calls, e.g. dealing with patient queries.
Maintaining telephone directory of necessary telephone contacts.
Receiving and recording messages for Doctors and other members of staff, ensuring that any information about unresolved matters is passed on.
Operation Of Computer Clinic System
Adding and cancelling appointments on computerised system.
Identifying patient details, collate information and pass to navigation team.
Reporting faults with hardware or software relating to Emis medical system to supervisor.
Inputting requests for Home Visits onto the computer.
Using Electronic Mail to send and receive messages, internally and externally.
Receive and Assist Patients
Deal with patient enquires including registering patients, explaining surgery procedures and giving general advice relating to non-clinical issues.
Identify and pass on patient prescription sheets.
Collect and record dispensing/private fees and provide receipts where applicable.
Inform patients of complaints procedures and log any informal complaints.
Order ambulance transport for patient when required.
Navigation
Using our triage system to book appropriate appointments for patients
Cancelling appointments when requested
Working through emails and tasks and signposting patients for best care
Stock Control
Ensuring an adequate supply of stationary, documents, bottles etc.
Maintain Reception Area
Making sure any displays/patient notices are kept tidy and up to date.
Making sure the reception desk is attended at all times.
Security of Premises
Opening and closing premises when necessary.
ANY OTHER DUTIES APPROPRIATE TO THE POST AS DESIGNATED BY THE PARTNERS.
