We are seeking an ambitious and experienced Head of Accounting (US) to join a growing, dynamic global business in the online gaming industry.

This role offers hybrid working with 3 days in the London or Malta office and 2 days remote .

Your Responsibilities
  • Assist the Group Financial Controller and Head of FP&A in preparing monthly management accounts for US subsidiaries.
  • Review US subsidiary bookkeeping.
  • Prepare accounting schedules, bank reconciliations, accruals, revenue recognition to IFRS standards.
  • Collaborate with Group FP&A for P&L analysis and variance reports.
  • Prepare management accounts including P&L, balance sheet, cash flow.
  • Liaise with US subsidiaries' management for reporting packs.
  • Coordinate with auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits.
  • Prepare US statutory and statistical returns.
  • Develop and maintain internal controls for asset safeguarding and accurate reporting.
  • Ensure SOX compliance and manage internal controls over financial reporting.
  • Implement and update accounting policies and procedures.
Projects (Initially)
  • Enhance financial reporting, internal controls, and operational efficiency through EPR upgrades.
  • Implement a consolidation tool for real-time financial data integration.
  • Improve Revenue Automation platform and integrate with ERP systems.
  • Oversee accounting software and system enhancements.
  • Manage ad hoc finance and operational projects.
Candidate Requirements
  • Accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, ICAEW).
  • Experience in financial reporting, preferably for listed companies.
  • Deep knowledge of SOX, IFRS, US GAAP, and tax compliance.
  • Experience with tax reconciliation, audits, and interim reviews.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work remotely with teams in the UK and North America.
  • Experience with Dynamics 365 Business Central / Navision, QuickBooks, Power BI, or Tableau.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Industry experience is a plus.
