This is a high-impact opportunity for an experienced IT procurement professional to step into a strategic consulting role focused on cost transformation rather than contract management.
A growing procurement consultancy is seeking a strong IT subject matter expert to support an expanding public sector client base. With a strong pipeline of work already in place, this role offers immediate ownership and visibility, working directly with clients to identify and deliver IT cost savings.
The successful candidate will lead discovery activity within client environments, analysing IT spend data, understanding supplier landscapes and advising on opportunities such as supplier consolidation and improved commercial arrangements. The role is centred on problem-solving, strategic cost reduction and influencing senior stakeholders to adopt savings recommendations.
What They’re Looking For
• Strong understanding of IT spend categories and how savings are unlocked
• Proven delivery of measurable cost savings
• Confidence engaging and challenging senior stakeholders
• Strong analytical and communication skills
Consultancy experience is highly preferred, although strong commercial candidates from industry will also be considered. Public sector exposure (Health, Transport, Central Government etc.) and knowledge of frameworks would be advantageous given current demand.
