The Company:

Our client’s mission is to simplify everything land. With deep roots in land development and a family-run legacy, their expert land development consultants combine generations of expertise with the most reliable and comprehensive land data in the industry that is trusted and used by market leaders. Backed by a dedicated customer success team, they provide innovative tools, trusted insights, and unparalleled service to help achieve their clients land goals.

The role:

We're looking for a mid-level front-end developer to join our team and take ownership of the user-facing side of our web applications. Your day-to-day will centre on building polished, responsive, accessible interfaces in Vue.js and TypeScript — turning designs into fast, intuitive experiences that users enjoy.

While the role skews front-end, our applications are built on a Laravel back end, so you'll need enough PHP ability to work across the boundary: consuming and occasionally extending APIs, understanding the data behind the interface, and making small back-end changes when a feature calls for it.

This is a hands-on role suited to someone with a few years of commercial experience who is confident working independently, cares about the details of a good user interface, and writes clean, well-tested code

Key responsibilities:

  • Building and maintaining modern front-end applications with Vue.js and TypeScript
  • Translating designs and wireframes into responsive, accessible, pixel-conscious interfaces
  • Managing front-end state, routing, and component architecture as applications grow
  • Consuming REST APIs from our Laravel back end, and making back-end adjustments (endpoints, validation, queries) where features require it
  • Improving front-end performance — load times, bundle sizes, rendering, and perceived speed
  • Writing clean, maintainable, well-documented code with appropriate test coverage
  • Contributing to code reviews and helping to maintain high standards across the codebase
  • Working with the team to scope, estimate, and deliver features from concept to production

Essential

  • 3+ years of commercial front-end development experience
  • Strong proficiency with Vue.js (Vue 3, Composition API) and component-based architecture
  • Solid TypeScript skills and a deep understanding of modern JavaScript (ES6+)
  • Understanding of relational databases (MySQL or PostgreSQL)
  • Strong HTML and CSS, including responsive layouts and cross-browser compatibility
  • Working knowledge of PHP and Laravel — comfortable reading the codebase, consuming and tweaking APIs, and making modest back-end changes
  • Confident with Git and collaborative workflows (branching, pull requests, code review)
  • An eye for detail and genuine care about user experience
  • Clear communicator who can explain technical decisions and work well within a team

Desirable

  • Python experience, particularly building APIs with FastAPI
  • Geospatial experience — a real bonus, whether in Python (GeoPandas, Shapely, rasterio, PostGIS) or on the web (Leaflet, Mapbox GL / MapLibre, OpenLayers, Turf.js, or working with GeoJSON and map tiles)
  • Experience building with LLM agent SDKs and APIs — OpenAI, Anthropic, or similar (function/tool calling, agent frameworks, or integrating AI features into products)
  • Deeper Laravel experience (Eloquent, queues, testing)
  • Experience with front-end testing (Vitest, Testing Library, Cypress, or Playwright)
  • Familiarity with build tooling (Vite, Webpack) and CI/CD pipelines
  • Exposure to Tailwind CSS, Inertia.js, Nuxt, or similar tools in the Vue/Laravel ecosystem
  • Experience working closely with designers, or familiarity with Figma

Company Behaviours:

• Take Ownership of tasks and do what you say you will do

• Operate with integrity and honesty, being proud of what you do

• Communicate regularly on progress of projects and tasks

• Strive to innovate, learn and develop, both personally and professionally

• Have Fun, creating a positive environment and being a motivating influence

• Respect others, treating them as they would like to be treated
