Java Developer – Central Bristol (Hybrid)

12-Month Contract – Maternity Cover

£300 – £375 per day (Outside IR35)

We’re working with a well-established product company in Central Bristol who are looking for a Java Developer to join their team for a 12-month maternity cover.

You’ll be part of a close-knit engineering function delivering core features on a cloud-native product, using Java (Spring Boot) and AWS .

The Role:

• Contribute to backend development using Java (Spring Boot)
• Build and maintain cloud infrastructure using AWS
• Work collaboratively with Product and Engineering teams
• Participate in code reviews and team discussions
• Pick up work quickly in an established product codebase

Ideal Candidate:

• Strong experience in Java development
• Solid exposure to Spring Boot and AWS
• Able to work from the Bristol office a couple of days per week
• Ready to start within the next 3 weeks
• Comfortable operating as a mid-level contractor
