£90,000 to £135,000 + Bonus + Equity
About The Company
We are partnered with a fast growing payment technology company building next generation SoftPOS and Android payment solutions used by merchants globally.
Their platform enables Android devices to become secure payment terminals, supporting modern Tap to Pay experiences, EMV integrations and merchant payment acceptance at scale.
Following continued growth across the UK and Europe, they are now looking to hire a Senior Android Payments Engineer to help scale their payment platform and terminal ecosystem.
The Role
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain Android payment applications
- Work across SoftPOS and payment terminal technology
- Integrate EMV and NFC payment functionality
- Support terminal and payment integrations
- Collaborate with backend and infrastructure teams
- Improve platform reliability and payment performance
- Work on secure payment acceptance solutions
- Support technical delivery across merchant payment products
Requirements
- Strong Android development experience
- Commercial Kotlin experience
- Experience working on payment or terminal based products
- Understanding of EMV, NFC or payment integrations
- Experience building scalable mobile applications
- Strong API integration experience
- Comfortable working in a fast paced product environment
Nice To Have
- SoftPOS experience
- MPoC / CPoC exposure
- Payment certifications
- ISO8583 knowledge
- AWS or cloud infrastructure exposure
- Experience with payment terminals or SmartPOS devices
