Senior Technical Consultant

We are working with a leading payments technology company building next generation SoftPOS and mobile payment solutions used globally.

They are looking for a Senior Technical Consultant to work directly with customers across EMEA, owning solution design, integrations and delivery. The role will likely move into a Lead role to manage a small team.

This role sits between customer engagement, technical design and hands-on implementation.

What you will be doing

• Working directly with customers to design and deliver payment solutions
• Owning end-to-end integrations across SoftPOS, POS and payment platforms
• Leading implementations, onboarding and deployments
• Acting as the technical owner for customer solutions
• Supporting EMV flows and certification processes (MTIP, ADVT)
• Integrating with acquirers, PSPs and payment gateways
• Troubleshooting real-world issues across systems, devices and APIs

Technical / hands-on expectations (IMPORTANT)

• Ability to debug and support integrations hands-on
• Comfortable working with:
• APIs and system integrations
• Data flows and transaction debugging
• Ability to write or adapt scripts where needed:
• Python, SQL or JavaScript (or similar)

This is not a pure development role, but you must be technical enough to build, test and troubleshoot solutions directly

What they are looking for

• Strong experience in payments (EMV, POS, SoftPOS or mPOS)
• Proven client-facing experience
• Experience owning integrations or implementations
• Understanding of payment transaction flows
• Acquirers / PSPs
• ISO8583
• EMV certification
